Albert and Mamie George were deeply committed to their community.

In fact, the trust indenture that created The George Foundation in 1945 specifically states their resources should be “for the use and benefit of the people of Fort Bend County.”

There is no doubt the Georges would be amazed to see what Fort Bend County looks like today. However, their simple yet powerful guidance has provided long-lasting direction and inspiration to Trustees and staff to pursue the foundation’s mission:
