Established in 2002, Excellence for Nonprofit Leadership (ENL) is an intense eight-session course designed to provide strategic and technical support to staff, board members, and volunteers of Fort Bend County’s nonprofit organizations.

Senior Nonprofit staff, board members, and engaged Fort Bend residents who are new to or actively pursuing nonprofit board or committee service are encouraged to apply. Presented by The George Foundation, Excellence for Nonprofit Leadership Program provides the necessary knowledge to boost your organization’s capacity and performance while building a peer network of professionals working toward a common goal of serving Fort Bend County.
ENL content focuses on five major topics: Assembling the Workforce, Governance & Leadership, Organizational Audit, Strategic Planning & Fundraising.
ENL Sessions will be held at Texas State Technical College, Rosenberg campus from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
- Opening Retreat – Thursday & Friday, September 11 & 12 (Mandatory)
- Held at the Westin Woodlands, Participants will stay the night and attend a Mandatory Dinner

- Thursday, February 5, 2026
- Thursday, March 5, 2026
- Thursday, April 2, 2026 (Graduation is Mandatory)
Participants can only miss six hours to complete the program.
Applications for the class of 2026 are now available.
Applications for ENL 2026 are due July 25, 2025.
Tuition for the program is $425 and includes meals and lodging for Opening Retreat.
