Technical Scholarships
Program Description:
In honor of Bill Jameson's and Pat McDonald's Service as Trustees, The George Foundation provides funding for technical scholarships for students and veterans obtaining a degree or certification from Texas State Technical College (TSTC) in Fort Bend County.
Scholarship awards may be used toward tuition, fees and/or additional student needs for those enrolling to attend or are currently attending the TSTC Fort Bend Campus.
Award Amount:
$500-$1,000 (average)
Eligibility criteria specific to each scholarship established:
The George Foundation Scholarship in Honor of Bill Jameson's Service as Trustee:
Priority will be given to applicants who are:
- Veteran Fort Bend County residents enrolling to attend the Fort Bend County campus; and/or
- Economically disadvantages Fort Bend County residents enrolling to attend the Fort Bend County campus; or
- Veteran or economically disadvantaged students from other areas enrolling to attend the Fort Bend County campus.
The George Foundation Scholarship in Honor of Pat McDonald's Service as Trustee:
- Recipients must be enrolling to attend the Fort Bend County campus.
- Preference will be given to Fort Bend County residents.
Additional eligibility criteria as determined by TSTC.
Deadline:
There are no application deadlines.
Notification Period:
Awarded funds are applied when the student enrolls.

This scholarship program is managed by the TSTC Fort Bend County campus. Scholarship recipients are not selected by The George Foundation Trustees or Staff. Please do not mail or email application packets or other documents to The George Foundation.
