RICHMOND, Texas – The Central Fort Bend Chamber and The George Foundation jointly announce that Melissa Toon will conclude her service as President and CEO of the Central Fort Bend Chamber to accept the role of Director of Special Programs with The George Foundation.
The transition reflects a shared commitment between two respected community organizations to continue investing in Fort Bend County through strong leadership, collaboration, and service. During her tenure with the Central Fort Bend Chamber, Toon led the organization through a period of strategic progress focused on strengthening operations, enhancing member engagement, and positioning the Chamber for continued success. Working alongside the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and business community, she helped build momentum that will continue well beyond her departure.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the Central Fort Bend Chamber and its members/’ said Toon. “While this next chapter is bittersweet, it is one that allows me to continue serving the community I care deeply about in a different capacity.
