The George Foundation recently announced that it provided more than $ 20 million in charitable support during 2025. In line with its charitable mission of over 80 years in Fort Bend County, we continue to give to strengthen the health, education, and well-being of Fort Bend County residents. This charitable support includes not just grants to local nonprofits, but also scholarships and special programs designed to make a meaningful, positive impact in the community.
During the year, the Foundation awarded $17.4 million in direct grants to 103 nonprofit organizations serving Fort Bend County. These investments reflect the Foundation’s long-standing commitment to supporting organizations that provide critical, day-to-day services and create lasting positive change throughout the community.

Complementing its direct grantmaking, The George Foundation also awarded $1.6 million in scholarships to local students pursuing higher education at four-year colleges, two-year colleges, and trade schools—investing in the next generation of Fort Bend County leaders.
In 2025, Health & Wellness received the largest share of direct grant investments, totaling $4.8 million, to address pressing community needs such as mental health services and access to care for uninsured residents. Abuse and Neglect Prevention and Intervention followed with $1.89 million, while Youth Development received $1.55 million, and Career Readiness totaled $1.22 million. The Foundation also invested $879,000 in affordable housing initiatives focused on home repairs, aging in place, homelessness prevention, and transitional housing.
Beyond grantmaking, The George Foundation continued its support of the Historic George Ranch Association, helping deliver hands-on Texas history experiences to more than 25,000 students at The George Ranch.
The Foundation is also excited to launch Fort Bend LINC, a new online platform designed to serve as a “one-stop shop” for neighbors seeking rental assistance. Fort Bend LINC connects residents with local agencies, promotes collaboration among nonprofit partners, and streamlines the application process to better serve those in need.
The 2025 Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) program concluded with 176 students from 24 campuses across Fort Bend County successfully completing the immersive program. Over the course of the experience, students dedicated 6,400 hours of community service, partnering with 44 nonprofit organizations to make a meaningful impact in the community. Additionally, 101 students were awarded $176,000 in scholarships through the generosity of our community partners.

Through the commitment and investment of The George Foundation, 51 nonprofit leaders participated and completed the eight-month transformational Excellence for Nonprofit Leadership program to enhance professional development across sector leaders.
While proud of its financial contributions, The George Foundation emphasized that true impact is made possible by the dedication, compassion, and operational excellence of its nonprofit partners and their teams.
“The Foundation is honored to continue our steadfast support of nonprofits doing outstanding work in our community in pursuit of the vision of our founders, Albert and Mamie George, to positively impact Fort Bend County today and into the future,” said Roger Adamson, Chief Executive Officer of The George Foundation.
