Scholarships  for Part-Time Non-Traditional College Students




For part-time, non-traditional college students from Fort Bend County attending Wharton County Junior College, Houston Community College or University of Houston, The George Foundation has established a financial-need based scholarship program administered by Scholarship Management Services, a department of Scholarship America.

For the purposes of this scholarship, a non-traditional college student is defined as a college student whose education has been interrupted and who now finds it necessary to resume studies due to changing work and family demands. They may be returning to college or entering college for the first time. Part-time status is defined as a student enrolled for six (6) to eleven (11) hours per semester.
